Rhinoplasty remains one of the most popular procedures available to the facial plastic surgery patient. The beauty of the operation derives from the ability to achieve long lasting enhancement of appearance and functional improvement in a subtle, yet meaningful manner. At Reviance Portland®, the goal is to meet the patients’ desires for correction of a hereditary or traumatic nasal imperfection in a subtle manner that minimizes the appearance of surgery.

Before & After
Aesthetic rhinoplasty, also referred to as nose reshaping or a nose job, is a popular surgical procedure that is performed to alter the shape and size of different areas of the nose in order to enhance the overall appearance of the nose.
At Reviance Plastic Surgery and Aesthetic Center, we offer aesthetic rhinoplasty for men and women in Portland who want to improve the size, shape, and overall appearance of their nose through nose surgery. Dr. James Chan is a highly skilled facial plastic surgeon and expert in the field of rhinoplasty.
How Can a Rhinoplasty Help Me?
An aesthetic Rhinoplasty can change any of the following features about your nose:
- Nose size
- Nose width
- Tip of the nose
- Large, wide or upturned nostrils
How is a Rhinoplasty Performed?
Depending on the aesthetic changes you desire, Dr. Chan will discuss with you either an open or closed incisions. Through these incisions, he is able to reshape your nose to help you achieve a natural appearing nose that blends in with your facial proportions.
Other Types of Rhinoplasty
At Reviance Plastic Surgery and Aesthetic Center we offer multiple types of rhinoplasty for our patients in Portland. Revision rhinoplasty can be performed for patients who have undergone a previous nose surgery and are either unhappy with their results or are experiencing complications as a result of their initial procedure.
“Dr. Chan does the best rhinoplasty! I am so very happy with my nose. I have always wanted my nose to be smaller, and more petite and Dr. Chan helped me achieve that.”
Is Rhinoplasty My Only Option?
Some places offer nose reshaping using dermal filler injections. This is commonly referred to as a liquid nose job or non-surgical rhinoplasty. While nose fillers can be used to change the appearance of the nose, the results are only temporary and can cause complications. We offer asian rhinoplasty to create a narrower, more defined nose. We also offer functional rhinoplasty for patients who struggle with breathing through their nose due to structural issues.
What Is the Recovery Period for Rhinoplasty Like?
Following your surgery, a plastic cast will be applied to the outside of the nose for one week. Additional internal splints may also be required depending on the nature of the surgical changes. Pain and discomfort vary and is usually very tolerable. Oral pain medication will be prescribed. Post-operative instructions will be provided and should be followed diligently to avoid complications and shorten recovery time.
How Much Does an Aesthetic Rhinoplasty Cost?
The cost for nose surgery can vary depending on the aesthetic changes desired, the complexity of the surgery, and the surgical techniques used. Dr. Chan will be happy to discuss all of your pricing and financing options at your initial consultation. Insurance does not generally cover the cost of an aesthetic nose job.
