How Is a Neck Lift Performed?

Dr. Chan or Dr. Kim will begin with incisions, the location of which will depend on your anatomy and the severity of your neck sagging. They can then tighten the underlying muscles and tissues as well as the skin.

When excess fat is the only thing contributing to the fullness of a neckline, liposuction neck contouring may be appropriate and can be performed in about 30 minutes. Dr. Chan or Dr. Kim will help you determine which combination of procedures is needed to give you your desired cosmetic results. The neck contouring procedures are intended to give you a more youthful and attractive neck contour.

What Can I Expect After a Neck Lift?

Following surgery, many patients experience bruising and swelling. To alleviate any discomfort you may feel, your surgeon can prescribe oral pain medication. To avoid any complications and speed up your recovery time, be sure to carefully follow your surgeon’s postoperative instructions.
