Facelift

This patient, a 60-year-old woman, pursued a facelift in Portland to address signs of facial aging that she felt no longer reflected how she felt inside. Prior to surgery, she noticed sagging along her jawline and cheeks as well as deepening folds around her mouth. Her goal was to achieve a refreshed, natural look without appearing overly altered.

The procedure performed was a rhytidectomy, or traditional facelift, designed to improve the lower face and neck. Recovery included swelling and mild bruising, resolving steadily over several weeks. The patient reported feeling comfortable throughout her postoperative course and described regaining confidence as her results became visible.

In the after photos, the above patient demonstrates smoother contours along her jawline and a more defined neck. The rejuvenation reflects her original goals of looking rested and vibrant, while maintaining her unique features.
