Revision Rhinoplasty

Rhinoplasty is one of the most common procedures performed, and it can also be one of the most difficult. Along with other rhinoplasty procedures, double board-certified facial plastic surgeon Dr. James Chan offers revision rhinoplasty for patients who need improvement following a previous rhinoplasty or even a minor touch-up. This surgery is designed to improve the balance of your face and achieve a natural-looking, functional nose.

How Is Revision Rhinoplasty Performed?

Each patient’s situation is different, and the surgical techniques will vary from patient to patient. Revision rhinoplasty can be more difficult than a traditional rhinoplasty because there is typically less cartilage to work with and increased scarring from previous surgeries. There are two different approaches for revision rhinoplasty:

  • Closed rhinoplasty: incisions placed inside the nose
  • Open rhinoplasty: more commonly used in revision rhinoplasty to rearrange tissue and shape bone structure

To see which method is right for your revision rhinoplasty needs in Lake Oswego, call Réviance® Plastic Surgery & Aesthetic Center to request a consultation today.

What Can I Expect After Revision Rhinoplasty?

Following your revision rhinoplasty surgery, you will notice bruising and swelling. Dr. Chan will apply an external nasal splint to help with recovery. Be sure to carefully follow postoperative instructions for a speedy recovery.

How Much Does Nose Surgery Cost?

The cost of revision nose surgery will vary depending on your personal needs and aesthetic desires. The staff at Réviance Plastic Surgery & Aesthetic Center will be happy to discuss all of your pricing and financing options at your initial consultation. It is your obligation to determine if your insurance provider will cover any costs of your surgery.
